Who We Are

We have an incredibly dedicated faculty and staff to provide students a quality well-rounded program that is rooted in a rigorous curriculum and enriched with P.E., garden, farm, music, theater, technology, visual arts, and for students in grades 3-5, chorus and orchestra. 

The percentage of Colfax teachers with three or more years of teaching experience is 94%. Our faculty and staff are represented by highly qualified, tenured teachers as well as newly credentialed teachers who offer engaging classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices and a lifelong love of learning.

We are fortunate to have five teachers who have earned their National Board Certification, the most respected professional certification available in education. In 2019, our entire staff received training and participated in professional development to become Digital Citizenship Certified Educators and completed the steps along with our students to become a Digital Citizenship Certified School.

In addition to our Special Education Assistants provided by LAUSD, our booster club (PACE) provides funding for additional aides - enough to support all teachers in classrooms and supervision during recess and lunch.
